Here's a story of a little girl,
Living in her own lonely world,
A hidden note, A secret crush,
A little boy who talks too little.

Well, I'm standing in the crowd,
And when you smile I knew its goona be you,
But you don't even know my name,
You're too busy doing your own things,

And I want you to know,
If you ever lose your way,
I won't let you go anymore.

If I cut my hair,
If I change my clothes,
Will you notice me?
Will you still know who i am

If I bite my lip,
If I say hello,
Will you notice me?
Will you accept for what i am?

Vbash 2008!

its was the highlight of my NUS life (up till now)
initially when i first joined my cca - nus student union
i took alot of courage to walk into the room
i knew nobody inside there was no friends with me
its was a lonely and horrible and helpless feeling
i told myself i need to be strong and independent
i need to take initiatives i need to take part in things that i like
even if there is no company

however when there is activities i dread to go
i feel that i will be left out all alone doing my own things
its was only until i decided to join the committee for the event
the interview was harsh the project director was strict
i thought of giving it up and running to the exit
i secretly hoped that i will not be selected
but i was accepted...
out of 50-60 people who came

the first few meetings were really going nowhere
i know none of them i talk to none of them
sitting there alone with me myself and i
everyone already have their own clinques
and so i kept giving excuses that i am working
in fact i am really working
hence i had no time for meeting
sometimes its just that i am afraid of loneliness
its was only until the tough period
1 month before the event
i got myself much more involved
i attended meetings
i help out in calling up sponsors
i help out in delivering and recieving goods
i help to do publicity stuns:

1. i run around the school canteen like madwoman screaming and shouting after someone snatched my vbash ticket

2. i scream using the loudhailer walking around like nobody business

i stayover in school to help out pasting posters
i stayed late night everyday to mend the booth

and ...

finally the event was over
its was a huge sellout!
great performance
large crowd
we appeared on the newspaper!

dancing and music-ing
drinking and lots of drinking
and partying whole night after the event
or even weeks before the event
i am so into clubbing now

i am really glad that i did joined the event
i made lots and tons of friends
people who worked together with you
those people who shared the same memories as you
able to relate to you able to crap with you
inner jokes between you and me
people who helped you here n there
i will really miss those days
whereby we stayed late to settle stuff
we struggled our way to school early morning
and not forgetting me crying after my physiotherapy
people who offered their tissues, love, care and concern

now i no longer dread myself to the student union room
though i am still abit afraid of seeing unfamiliar faces
fear that i will be all alone in the room with no friends
but at least i feel so much secured pulling that door
entering into that room
cos i know those memories stay =)

Will you ever notice me...
